Sadly, this is just not possible as Jagex uses a very safe encrypted system that will only grant your character membership status after they received your payment. Chances are, these people are the same people offering the Runescape stat changer. They just want to get a hold of your characters login information so that they can strip him of anything that’s worth any gold.

Many times, the sites will offer a hack that they claim will generate Runescape card codes that will let you play for free. If there was such a hack, Jagex would have downloaded and patched it a long, long time ago. It is easy to track and anyone using it would most likely get banned within a day. Runescape membership hacks simply do not exist.

Many scammer stories include working for Jagex, being fired and wanting to get back at them. Another is that they discovered a hack where you email Jagex in a specifically coded way and they will upgrade your account to a members account. This is just not true and 100% a scam. I am absolutely certain that Runescape will not verify whether a specific player is of membership status through their email system.
